DOG-EARED: revealing the contents of artists' books

PROSPECTUS
ELIGIBILITY:
This is an open call to all artists working in the book form.
medium:
This exhibition will focus on works of art realized in the book format. all work must be original. work maybe in the form of unique artists' books, tradional bindings, sculptural books, scrolls, multimedia, digital or virtual books, livres d'artist, altered books, editioned works, book objects, or works of art that embody bookness. a maximum of three entries may be submitted per artist.
IMAGES:
Entries will be judged from digital images submittted on cd. images must be in jpeg format, 300 dpi, with the longest dimension of the image no larger than 10 inches. name each file with your name and title of the work. detail shots are welcome and should be labeled with the word "detail" following image title and name. a word document containing a brief artist statment and biography should also be included on the cd. cds should be labeled with the artist's name. cds will not be returned.

All shipping and shipping insurance costs to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist. Shipped work should be securely packed in a reusable container with a return lable and adequate postage to cover shipping from West Lafayette, IN. No work will be returned without prepaid postage.

OCT 15, 2008 - ANNOUNCEMENT OF ACCEPTED ARTWORKS
NOV 1, 2008 - DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF WORK
NOV 10, 2008 5-8 PM - OPENING RECEPTION
NOV 25, 2008 - EXHIBITION CLOSE
WEEK OF DEC 1, 2008 UNSOLD WORK RETURNED TO ARTISTS
